Frank Mugisha Travels to Springfield, MA for International Human Rights Day
Last Friday (December 7), the Stop The Hate and Homophobia Coalition celebrated International Human Rights Day (officially December 10th) with a stand-out, held at the Springfield Federal Court, protesting the Ugandan Anti-Homosexuality Bill (also known as the “Kill the Gays Bill”) and American Evangelicals’ part in its creation including Springfield’s own Scott Lively. The stand-out was followed by a community potluck gathering and discussion with Frank Mugisha of Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG), and representatives of the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR).
