Neil Patrick Harris First Star On Hollywood Walk of Fame

Neil Patrick Harris, co-star of “How I Met Your Mother” was honored today by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce with his first star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  The ceremony was held in celebration of the upcoming DVD release of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER Season 6: The New is Always Better Edition on September 27.

Gay Characters Persona Non Grata in Young Adult Books? (Advocate)

When you think of the young adult books capturing the attention of America's adolescents and pre-teens, predominately-white, predominately-straight novels like the Twilight and Hunger Games series come to mind. In a post on Publishers Weekly's website, two writers argue that the reason most YA books don't include LGBT characters, especially ones of color, is because book agents don't have the guts to sell manuscripts with them.

I do so declare that I am going to have to run to that CVS down the street to pick me up some new foundation and lashes—so much running around the state and so little time, I just HAVE to look my Dragtastic best for you! (Now, where did I put that E-6000? Stones are just falling OFF this gown!)

Anyways back to… ME of course. So last night I was in Des Moines for the final dress rehearsal of the Stagewest Theatre production of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”. The show runs starting TODAY, September 15th through September 25th.

Ablow Uses "Farm Animals" Analogy To Attack Chaz Bono

Fox News contributor Keith Ablow recently appeared on Howard Stern's program to defend his criticism about the participation of Chaz Bono -- who is transgender -- on ABC's Dancing With The Stars. Ablow repeated his claim that Bono would hurt children by convincing them to become transgender. Ablow also analogized the situation to "if a person came to me tattooed as a zebra," adding, "I'm not going to have my kids watch a show in which people pretend to be farm animals."

Just wanted to give you my two cents on the cutest little play I saw last Friday. Its called “The Dixie Swim Club” and it was put on by members of the Waterloo Community Playhouse. Let me tell you my adoring fans, I haven’t seen a play like this in years. It was fabulous! I thoroughly enjoyed myself! (Well, honeys… I guess you could say I enjoyed myself before, during and especially after the play. Smile cutie pie, You know who you are!)
