A fundraiser to raise awareness about bullying against gay, bisexual and transsexual people is planned Saturday.

The Red Dress Gala and Silent Auction is scheduled at 5 p.m. at Jones Street Station Night Club, 412 Jones St., in Sioux City.

G.L.B.T. Siouxland is organizing the event. The group was started about nine months ago.

Members decided to plan the gala to stop the cycle of bullying they went through and show that resources are available to victims.
