Greenfield Iowa video store refuses service to legally married couple and their children

Members of the Brooks family protesting at Family Video in Greenfield, Iowa.According to a Facebook comment by Melisa Brooks, she and her wife JeaLa Brooks were denied service and told to leave Family Video of Greenfield, Iowa (not associated with the Family Video chain of stores) when the owner discovered they were a same-sex married couple.

The Facebook comment reads:

"Melisa and JeaLa Brooks new residents of Greenfield Iowa were denied video rental sevice when the owner found out they were a gay married couple. They had 2 of their little girls with them while trying to rent a Princess movie. The owner of FAMILY VIDEO told them to get out and refused to rent videos to them!"

Iowa civil code prohibits discrimination by businesses due to someones sexual orientation (http://www.iowa.gov/ government/crc/file_complaint/areas.html, http://www.iowa.gov/government/crc/file_complaint/public_accomod.html).
