The National Organization for Marriage is trying to push back against the reports that support for repealing marriage equality in Iowa is waning. Trying being the operative word here. The above video is what they use to prove that these reports are lies. Note that the camera that is recording Brian Brown, the President of NOM, is stationary. It never moves from that spot, which appears to be about two rows back into the audience. In total, his audience appears to be, what, three people?
Actually, there’s probably a few dozen people there tops, but that’s the point, isn’t it? This is a classic trick. Ever notice how Conservatives never actually address your points, but try to divert attention from them? Yes, there’re people there, and there’s enthusiastic applause, but it’s all meaningless. You see, even a member of the KKK can get a few dozen people to show up for a speech, but it does not mean that the whole of any given area supports their cause.
