Criminalization and the Changing Legal Landscape
Join the Sexual Health Alliance and panel members Virginia Tonelli of CHAIN, Randy Mayer, Chief of the Bureau of HIV, STD and Hepatitis at IDPH and Carol Paper, ICARE Program Coordinator for a conversation about the legislation surrounding HIV individuals in Iowa. Current law says that an HIV-positive individual can be prosecuted following sexual contact, regardless of transmission or if barrier methods were utilized. Discussion will take a closer look at the impact of legislation on HIV positive community members.
