PFLAG Ames will host Ben Alley
He is a former Marshalltown resident and a Matthew Shepherd scholarship recipient, currently studying music therapy at the University of Iowa. His parents rejected him when he came out to them during high school, and he lived on his own for a time, with the help of YSS.
PFLAG is committed to safety and confidentiality at all meetings. Please remember that unless you have been given permission to do so, do not use a person's name or identifying information when discussing PFLAG outside of our chapter meetings. The
success of this organization depends on everyone feeling safe to share.
Newcomers are welcome and, as always, plenty of time will be available for support as well as expressions of concern and/or discussion of lgbt issues.
