A study released by a gay and lesbian advocacy group says Ohio schools have an anti-gay bias, which in cases of assault towards lesbian, gay, transgendered and bisexual students, is above the national average.
The study is gaining attention after a teen in Ross County was assaulted on video last month, possibly for his sexual orientation.
The study was conducted by the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network.
It analyzed data from 2009 and found one in four sexual minority students said they were physically assaulted -- either punched, kicked or injured with a weapon because of sexual orientation or gender identity.
