Interfaith Alliance president in Cedar Rapids and Des Moines

“But God said I could be President!” Is God confused or are we?

Discussing the dangers our country faces as politics and religion become increasingly intertwined, Rev. Dr. C. Welton Gaddy, president of Interfaith Alliance, will speak at public events in Cedar Rapids on Wednesday, November 30 and in Des Moines on Friday, December 1.

 

Cedar Rapids

Rev. Gaddy will speak at a public forum at Coe College in Cedar Rapids on Wednesday, November 30 at 7 PM in Kesler Lecture Hall, Hickok Hall located on Coe Road just north of First Avenue. The event is free and open to the public.

Des Moines

Rev. Gaddy will speak at a public forum at Tifereth Israel Synagogue, 924 Polk Blvd in Des Moines on Thursday, December 1 at 7 PM. The event is free and open to the public.

Rev. Dr. C. Welton Gaddy

Author of over 20 books, including First Freedom First: A Citizen’s Guide to Protecting Religious Liberty and the Separation of Church and State, the Rev. Dr. C. Welton Gaddy leads the national non-partisan grassroots and educational organization, Interfaith Alliance.

Dr. Gaddy hosts the weekly State of Belief radio program, where he explores the role of religion in the life of the nation by illustrating the vast diversity of beliefs in America, while exposing and critiquing both the political manipulation of religion for partisan purposes and the religious manipulation of government for sectarian purposes.

Dr. Gaddy provides regular commentary to the national media on issues relating to religion and politics. Some of his appearances include MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann and The Rachel Maddow Show, NBC’s Evening News and Dateline, PBS’s Religion and Ethics Newsweekly and The Newshour with Jim Lehrer, C-SPAN’s Washington Journal, ABC’s World News Tonight, and CNN’s The World Today with Wolf Blitzer.
