Ron Paul insists straight soldiers are “causing more trouble than the gays.” He’s right.
In an interview with ‘Iowa State Daily,’ Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul said that straight soldiers are “causing more trouble than the gays,” a group right-wingers claimed would run rampant after Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’s repeal.
Conservatives argued that once out of the closet, gays, particularly gay men, would have a field day flirting with their peers.
Libertarian Paul, who supported DADT’s end, disagrees, and told the paper “[there are] men and women getting into trouble with each other too. And there’s a lot more heterosexuals in the military, so logically they’re causing more trouble than gays.”
