There's a missing link to the Occupy Wall Street movement that has spawned offshoots all over the country such as Occupy Iowa and even Occupy Mason City.
The movement is occupied, so to speak, by people who are fed up with Wall Street's domination of the American economy - the 1 percent controlling the lives of 99 percent.
So the campouts began, first in New York and then in other large cities all over the U.S. and then to smaller communities such as Mason City where sympathizers of the movement have gathered in Central Park for the past two weekends.
In some respects, it is what America is all about - freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, the right to disagree - and the nation has experienced some significant changes because people rose up and said, "Enough is enough."
