The researcher is looking for participants who match the following criteria:
Potential participants and his or her partner consider themselves homosexual and to be in a life partner same-sex relationship and have been together before the legalization of same-sex marriage in Iowa (April of 2009) and are still residing in the state of Iowa. Participants feel confused, conflicted, or uncertain about marriage and/or have chosen not to marry.
We understand that same sex marriage has been an ongoing political struggle, yet some people choose not to get married or would never choose it for themselves. Do you consider yourself to be one of these individuals, even while having a life partner? A psychological research study concerning this issue is being conducted in your area. If you are in a same-sex life partner relationship, you may be able to participate in this research and be compensated with a $20 gift certificate to Amazon.com for your time.
