Tells attendees, like Iowans, that fabric of society at risk from gay marriage
If Iowans were hoping to hear something new from U.S. Rep. Steve King during his address at the ongoing Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C., they were sorely disappointed.
King, who offered an early afternoon address on the subject of marriage, struck many of the same chords he’s made while campaigning in Iowa, especially during his stops alongside the social conservative Judge Bus, which advocated for the ouster of three Iowa Supreme Court justices that participated in a decision regarding civil marriage for gays and lesbians.
“Marriage is the essential foundation stone for civilization,” King told attendees at the social conservative conference, echoing an argument he’s launched numerous times against same-sex marriage rights.
