A judge has turned down a request to lower bond in the case of a Waterloo teen accused of killing another teen with a baseball bat.
The attorney for 19-year-old Paris Akeem Anding said his client would live with his mother or grandmother and has a job lined up should he be released from jail pending trial.
Anding is charged with second-degree murder in the August slaying of Marcellus Andrews, 19, and aggravated assault in an unrelated brass knuckle attack that same month.
He has been at the Black Hawk County Jail since Sept. 8.
