A U.S. Democrat has become the first-ever gay member of congress to become a parent.
Jared Polis (pictured) and his life partner, Marlon Reis, announced the birth of their son Caspian Julius, who was born on 30 September, yesterday afternoon.
The Colorado Democrat detailed that his child was born weighing 8lbs 120z.
