Muslim leaders are up in arms over calls by members of the lesbians, gay, bisexuals, transgender and inter-sex (LGBTI) community to have their human rights respected.
The Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya said the gay community should be condemned and not respected because they go against the teachings of God. "We will not support or allow any activities of the gay community in the country because no religion is for it," said CIPK organizing secretary Sheikh Mohamed Khalifa.
