North Carolina's James Forrester Equates Gay People With Cesspool (OnTop) 
North Carolina State Senator James Forrester, the primary sponsor of a gay marriage ban, has equated gay people with cesspool.
Forrester has tried over the past eight years to get his constitutional amendment that would ban gay and lesbian couples from marrying through the General Assembly. On Tuesday, lawmakers decided to put the question up for a vote in May.
During a town hall meeting held last Thursday at Restoring Hope Foursquare Church in Dallas, North Carolina, Forrester called Asheville “a cesspool of sin.”
