
Former U.S. Senator and GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum (R-Penn) stopped at the Iowa Capitol Tuesday morning, after a visit to Ames and an interview on Fox News, to caucus with Iowa Senate Republicans.
Moments before, former Utah Gov. and China ambassador, Jon Huntsman made his 2012 bid official. Santorum gave little reaction, other than he was not surprised that Huntsman, who has indicated Iowa is not a campaign priority, entered and “I wouldn’t be surprised if more people decide to get in,” including Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who continues to mull a candidacy.
