
Of all of the GOP candidates running in the 2012 presidential election, Tim Pawlenty is probably the dullest, right? Maybe that's why Code Pink (a reproductive rights and anti-war activist group) figured he could use a bit of glitter in his life. The former Minnesota governor was in San Francisco yesterday, signing copies of his memoir, Courage to Stand, when two women opened manila envelopes and spilled pink confetti and glitter all over the table where Pawlenty was seated.
Talk about a fabulous protest! I got an adrenaline rush just watching the Code Pink campaigner Nancy Mancias yell at T-Paw as she and her cohort were escorted away, "Where's your courage? Where's your courage to stand for gay rights and for women's reproductive rights? Welcome to San Francisco, home of gay hero, Harvey Milk!"
