Lady Gaga — who celebrates people “no matter gay, straight or bi / Lesbian, transgendered life” as sung in the title track of ‘Born This Way’ — will perform at EuroPride 2011, a major gay pride festival that takes place in Rome this coming weekend.
The Associated Press reports that Gaga will perform on Saturday in the Italian capital’s Circus Maximus. Gaga is of Italian heritage — she was born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta — so this gay pride play is of particular significance for her! Even though Lebanon has reportedly banned ‘Born This Way’ from being sold due to what it considers anti-Christian concepts, Gaga continues to do her thing and open her arms to all walks of life.
