
Talk of budget cutting is all the rage on the Republican presidential campaign trail. During a recent stop in Iowa, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty said he could not promise to maintain funding levels for a federal AIDS program. He called it one of the "hard truths" he was delivering to Americans about the strained federal budget.
