Jake Chapman of Adel seeks GOP nod for new Iowa Senate seat (DesMoinesRegister)

Jake Chapman of Adel, who is the president of the Young Republican organization in Dallas County, has announced that he will seek his party’s nomination in 2012 for a new Iowa Senate seat that has been created by legislative redistricting. The seat does not have an incumbent.


Chapman, 26, is married with three children. He is director of operations for Midwest Ambulance Service of Des Moines, a company started by his father.

Chapman has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from AIB College of Business in Des Moines and he is an Eagle Scout. He has endorsements from Dallas County Sheriff Chad Leonard and several other elected officials.
