Comedian Wanda Sykes says, "If you don't believe in same-sex marriage, then don't marry somebody of the same sex."
Sykes, 47, is a firm believer in same-sex marriage. In October 2008, she married her girlfriend, Alex, whom she met in 2006. The following month, Sykes publicly came out at a gay rights rally in Las Vegas.
On April 27, 2009, Alex gave birth to twins, Olivia Lou and Lucas Claude.
Marriage and motherhood will probably be the subject of a few laughs Saturday when Sykes performs at the Terrace Theater in Long Beach.
Since coming out 2 1/2 years ago, Sykes said, she's having more fun onstage.
