Trouble In Montenegro For LGBT People (LezGetReal)
The European Parliament Intergroup on LGBT rights has reported that the government in Montenegro is failing to protect LGBT people from homophobic violence.
A music concert has been met by this kind of violence in the Montenegro capital , Podogoria. During a performance by artist Lollobrigida on the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, unknown groups threw tear gas cans into the crowd. This forced half of the crowd to disperse and seek medical assistance.
In another related incident, two members of the public were repoerted to have been attacked in the centre of Podogoria and told to ‘not spread the disease (homosexuality) here.’
