Club for Growth set to funnel unlimited corporate cash
Following the American Future Fund’s official endorsement last month, the Club for Growth has now endorsed Steve King’s 2012 congressional campaign.
“Special interests are racing to Steve King’s side as fast as they can,” said Iowa Democratic Party Chairwoman Sue Dvorsky. “It’s clear that Steve King’s support lies with out-of-state special interests and not the people of Iowa.”
By using both a Super PAC and 501(c)(4) organization, the Club for Growth has tremendous power to funnel unlimited corporate cash into races across the country and have already promised to give “Congressman King the resources he needs in order to win in 2012.” The Club for Growth most recently grabbed headlines for its staunch defense of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s anti-worker policies.
“The Club for Growth and American Future Fund have made it clear that they will flood the state with undisclosed and unlimited cash from special interests,” added Dvorsky. “Steve King has lost touch with the people of Iowa if he thinks special interest money will hide his extreme record.”
