
The tea party tax day rally brought hundreds today to the west steps of the Iowa Capitol.
It was a better day than rainy Friday for a rally, but not by much: 37 degrees, stiff winds, gray skies.
By noon, about 340 people were standing on the Capitol's west steps for the rally.
A sampling of signs: "My rights are not negotiable." "Broken promises = broken trust." "Don't steal. The IR$ doesn't like competition." "Government promiscuity is deficit spending."
