
President Barack Obama will likely pamper Iowa with attention because he won't have the luxury of losing this state in the 2012 presidential election, several politics watchers said.
Obama announced his re-election campaign Monday in an email to nearly 13 million supporters. "This will be my final campaign, at least as a candidate," he wrote.
Obama spent 80 days in Iowa in the year leading up to his victory in the Iowa caucuses, according to Democratic Party statistics, and he visited four more times between the caucuses and the general election. He also has visited Iowa four times as president.
