In celebration of all marriages, One Iowa is celebrating Prince William and Kate’s Royal Wedding with a themed party in honor of the special day.
At the beginning of the night, Friday, April 29th at 9 p.m., there will be a mixer with shots, shot boys, and some of the most eligible bachelors in Des Moines milling the crowd.
The event will also recognize those couples who married in the past two years since the April 3, 2009, unanimous decision by the Iowa Supreme Court that ruled in favor of same-sex marriage.
Following the mixer, a show will commence at 10:30 with fabulous entertainment including drag, dance, and live music.
The night will continue with a Prince Harry Bachelor Auction. Each bachelor will have a special “getaway package” to include the perfect date for two out on the town.
The show is to be emceed by Jerry Byrd and Bobbi Brunscheon, with all proceeds going to One Iowa, the largest LGBT advocacy organization in the state. One Iowa is committed to full equality for LGBT individuals, including the freedom to marry.
Come join us and One Iowa for the Royal Wedding as we continue to make our state a better place to live for all Iowans.
