I am writing in concern of the recent amendment, Resolution 6. This amendment could prohibit gay marriage in Iowa. Not only does Resolution 6 discriminate against minorities, but it also takes away the right to equality.
The U.S. is a free country where everyone is supposed to be equal. However, that is not happening in many states. Iowa is one of six states that allow gay marriage. We offer equal rights and we have become a model for many other states to follow.
