This Friday, March 18, come help Aussie singer/songwriter (and previous IWMF performer) Martine Locke and her band of merry makers as they celebrate the release of her newest CD - a live CD recorded in Indianapolis in November 2010. Everyone is welcome! The concert will be small and intimate, held at the Women's Resource and Action Center on the campus of the University of Iowa, 130 N. Madison St., Iowa City. The show will be held 7:30-9:30 p.m. Doors at 7 p.m., auction til 10 p.m.
Martine will perform songs from the CD, accompanied by Dionne Ward on drums and vocals and throughout the course of the night a silent auction will take place to help raise funds for the 2011 IWMF (to be held Sept. 10, 2011). Festie shirts and discounted Janis Ian CDs (Janis is our 2011 headliner!) will also be for sale.
