
About 35 anti-gay Tea Party activists assembled this afternoon for a rally at the Council Bluffs Mid-America Center, in Council Bluffs, IA and demanded a ban on same-sex marriage and stricter abortion laws in Iowa.
Tea Party lawmaker Kim Pearson, of Pleasant Hill, was among the speakers at Saturday afternoon’s rally, where Pearson told the Tea Baggers another ban on same-sex marriage would be quicker to pass than a constitutional amendment.
Pearson, a Second Amendment solutions advocate and a 10ther, ran this past November on an anti-same-sex marriage platform saying she “believed God designed marriage to be the union between one man and one woman.”
