
With 110,000 Iowans out of work, it's probably no surprise that leaders of both parties say the economy and budget issues will dominate the 2010 session.
That's what took center stage the last political campaign, after all.
But with debate simmering for nearly two years over the Supreme Court's 2009 decision to legalize gay marriage and some in the newly resurgent Republican caucus eager to tackle abortion issues, it seems likely some of the most controversial social issues facing the state will get an airing, too.
