A popular Cedar Rapids eatery will close its doors after the New Year’s Eve crowd goes home. Owner Rhonda Winistorfer says the economy and a personal decision by the owners led them to close Winistorfer says business just wasn’t steady enough.
Virgil Henley, who owns the building at 222 Glenbrook Drive Southeast, in Cedar Rapids, was selling the building to Winistorfer.
The closing didn’t come as a surprise to Henley. He said he hadn’t received payments in three months and he had been getting calls from the gas and electric companies.
