The House of Representatives approved a stand-alone bill today to repeal the military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy. The vote was 250 to 175, with just 15 Republicans crossing party lines to vote yes and 15 Democrats voting no.
Iowa's Democrats Bruce Braley (IA-01), Dave Loebsack (IA-02), and Leonard Boswell (IA-03) all voted for repeal, while Republicans Tom Latham (IA-04) and Steve King (IA-05) voted against. Boswell is the only veteran among Iowa's current House delegation. He served in the Army for 20 years, including two tours in Vietnam.
